For those of you looking for a wedding officiant, I’d like to introduce you to James Chun, a Hawaii Wedding Minister is a personal and professional friend of mine. Over his many years in the Wedding industry, I have seen countless couples enjoy their experience with James.
His lighthearted demeanor, approachability and professionalism has earned him the place of top wedding officiant in my book! James has the ability to bring a sense of the sacred to any ceremony no matter the scale or formality of your wedding event. I highly recommend him to any of my couples planning upcoming nuptials.
Recently this Glam Bride was featured on photographer Derek Wong’s website. Carlee was a gorgeous bride who requested hair with “a ton of volume.”
My friend and Hawaii Wedding Photographer Rachel Robertson got married this past weekend. It was an amazing wedding to say the least. At the end we all made an aisle for them to walk down and raised out sparklers to make it extra special!! If you want to catch more details from the event you can view the same day edit by the fabulous team at Aria Studios here The event was coordinated by Aubrey Akana at Savoir Faire events… Aka crazy creative wedding planning genius!!
I am a hopeless romantic. That being said, I am always imagining wedding ideas that are authentic displays of affection. I love the song “Better Man” by James Morrison, and I think it would be the perfect way for a groom to surprise his bride with a serenade (if he has the gift of being musically talented)! Check out the video on you tube here. Guys, if you do this you will knock it out of the park. Just sayin’. Oh, and ladies grab a tissue… This song is a tear jerker.
It can get a bit chilly in Hawaii at night, especially if you are in the mountains or seaside. I think getting your family/bridesmaids one of these synthetic pashmina would be a great idea. Personally I’d get them monogrammed for the recipient. Such a steal at under $20. You could also pick one up for yourself as your something blue!

I love seeing a company that most would consider “classic” and “timeless” experiment with fresh, colorful looks as well. As an artist I love to try out new styles and get inspired by fashion. Not to say that all of it is “for me” but it is so lovely to see creativity come to life through clothes. Check this out!!
The last post featured a Hawaii based lifestyle brand for women’s wear, and today I wanted to feature another local lifestyle brand. Life Is Swell has tops and hoodies for people of all ages, but I think it would be especially cute to get this tank for a flowergirl. The onesies are absolutely ADORABLE as well!
