I love Korean day spas! One of the signatures of these spas is freshly made cucumber masques. After it is applied and wiped clean with milk, it leaves the skin rejuvenated, glowing and firm. These masques are easy to make and great for brides because there is very little chance of any bad skin reaction.
Here’s what you need:
-One Cucumber. Why? It’s silica helps improve skin’s condition and it leaves the skin glowing.
-Two tablespoons + enough to wash face with Milk. Why? It has amino acids and vitamin A to nourish skin, beta-hydroxyl acids to condition skin, and alpha-hydroxyl acids to cleanse down to skin’s deepest layers.
-One tablespoon of Organic Yogurt. Why? It has lactic acid to soften and tighten skin while refining pores.
-One tablespoon of Honey. Why? It attracts water to moisturize the skin.
-Bowl
-Coarse grater
-Old towel
-20 minutes to spare
Here’s how to make:
1) Grate the cucumber in a bowl (set aside two thin slices) and add the other ingredients. Mix them together. Place in freezer 5 minutes.
2) Remove from freezer and then prepare an area to lay down and relax with the towel underneath your head.
3) Place the sliced cucumbers on your eyes and apply the cucumber masque evenly on your face and throat.
4) Leave on for 15 minutes. Remove and wash your face with milk.
So soothing and refreshing! This is great to cool skin if you have gotten a bad sunburn before the wedding day. Enjoy!
